Residence
Baltimore County, Maryland

This traditionally-inspired two-story dwelling in a picturesque, wooded setting will soon be getting a new wing to provide much-needed additional living space. The main addition will feature a Great Room with stone fireplace and a new, formal Dining Room will supplant the smaller one in the existing house. A sumptuous gourmet kitchen will form the hub of the new floor plan between the Garage and the two-story addition. A second-floor master suite will overlook the entry courtyard.

The first phase of construction was to convert an existing attic storage room into a bedroom. This was accomplished by opening up a portion of the existing roof and framing a new gable to provide the necessary head height for the bedroom. The remaining nooks and crannies left over from the original attic space add excitement and interest to this reclaimed space.
